Daphrose Nyirasafali is a highly experienced professional in the field of Family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Currently she is UNFPA Rwanda Reproductive Health Program Officer.
With over 30 years working experience at central and decentralised levels in Rwanda, She possesses measurable expertise in designing Reproductive Health/Family planning/Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health policies, strategies, training manuals and IEC/BCC materials.
With background as an MPH, Demographer and Nurse-midwife, she is highly committed to guarantee positive outcomes for women and adolescents, in particular with changing environments and Multicultural settings .
She represents UNFPA country office at various High level meetings and coordinates international events related to SRH.
Dr. Athanase is a fervent advocate for health equity serving as a Director of Programs at Health Development Initiative.Â
He brings to the position more than five of years of experience in Medicine, health system strengthening, supply chain of health commodities, RMNCAH, SRHR, Harm Reduction, disability and inclusion, advocacy on public policy relating to health, HIV, TB, Malaria, Intersections of health and Human Rights, results based and Rights Based programmings, Public health and epidemiology in general.Â
He is a trained medical doctor and holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Rwanda.
